Classic

Well, The War of the Worlds is certainly a classic for a reason, eh? Somehow I have managed to never actually read this, hear the radio play, see the movies etc. so short of "Martian invasion", I didn't really know what to expect. I was actually pleasantly surprised by it being quite a small story all things considered; where I was expecting big bombastic interplanetary warfare, I got a guy desperately trying to survive an utter nightmare. Great stuff. That's 9 books for the Bookworm Challenge now, and I'm at 55% of my fundraising target!
