Portraits

Another visit from a plumber this morning and then our limestone electric fireplace was removed (left an unsightly patch) as we’re installing a wood-burner instead.
I’d arranged to meet my ex colleagues from Newbattle Abbey College for lunch today, so after a quick shop (l spotted thechimp and thebear enjoying their coffee) I caught the bus into Edinburgh (freezing there). We had lunch at Coffee Saints, followed by shopping in John Lewis and a visit to the Portrait Gallery. Mr P had cooked a tasty casserole for our evening meal and then I cleared out the downstairs study/third bedroom. Late night.
