Coniston Old Man summit

The first of the three "Old County Tops" visited yesterday - the others being Helvellyn and Scafell Pike. Being the "Old County" (pre-1974) Tops of Lancashire, Westmorland and Cumberland.

A walk of 43 miles, 13,000 feet and it took from first light until dark, just short of 18 hours.

A grand day out, indeed.
