Heron
A bit of a struggle today, I delivered Jess to a business lunch on the train at Bassenthwaite.
I hoped to take a few shots across the lake of St Bega's church but the rain was persistent. I took a couple but they were pants so headed down the lake a bit. After scouting about for a dead tree type subject (there were none) I noted a heron being mobbed by seagulls.
As usual I did not have the right lens with me and had to make do with my 17-70. After a bit of stalking this was the best I could do, on a positive note the Heron obliged and flew across in front of Blencathra which still has a coating of snow.
