Snow on the Quince

Today's the day ...................... for a white-out

The above is a photograph sent to me this afternoon from Marie Claire in south-east France.

It was taken from her front door and shows the view that she woke up to today, after about 10cms of snow had fallen overnight.  The extra, taken by me from much the same place, shows how things looked last week.  It's the same lovely quince blossom and there are lots of cowslips in that green grass.

Probably all those skiers that went out on the same plane as us, would have much preferred the sort of weather conditions in Marie Claire's photograph!  But personally, I really enjoyed the 25°C sort of temperatures that we had.
