A crummy (dreich) day, so I dipped into the archives.

A house nearby has the family shoes neatly lined up on their front doorstep. They were difficult to get a good shot of and not particularly photogenic.

However, they call to mind a shot that presented itself in Marken, Netherlands, almost ten years ago.
