Lionesses

Day 2 started with a 5 o'clock alarm and we set off at dawn for a game drive.

The scenery is awesome and as the sun rose over the plains hitting the mountains, with giraffe roaming languidly against the blue sky it was reminiscent of a film set.

We dropped off the Lagoon Hide threesome - Suzanne, Wendy and Jeff then started some serious game hunting using an electronic tracker. These two cats were so playful and we were so very near. I haven't looked through all this mornings shorts yet but am taking advantage of an hours down time with internet connection in the foyer after lunch. We are off again in less than an hour for a 16-17 hour stint in a night hide. I feel it could be tough having listened to the briefing but hopefully we will all manage to get some sleep as we are taking it in turns to be on watch. Very excited.

We will be within feet of animals coming into the waterhole and the photography opportunities hopefully will be absolutely amazing.
