Religion vs the State

Spent several hours wandering around the 'ghost village' of Tyneham, near Lulworth. This was taken over by the army during WWII and never given back, despite assurances at the time that it would be.

Most of the cottages/houses are derelict, which make for nice pics in the right conditions I'm sure ( I took loads but its one-a-day here so...), but this caught my eye so its today's blip. Thought it was a nice contradiction ; modern Health and Safety going a step too far, perhaps?

Definitely worth going to Tyneham if you're in the area ; I think its only open at weekends though and on a sunny day, like today (until it rained), it gets packed with tourists... who seem to enjoy getting in the way of your photographic efforts.
