The writing’s on the wall

Our little church is in the process of merging to become part of a larger church, so there’s quite an overhaul going on.
Consequently new notices are popping up all over the place, which amuses me as we’ve managed without them for years.
It’s a good move for the small elderly congregation though. Just this morning I had to tell members that a dear former member who left to live in a care home had been taken into hospital. The first chap I rang, who’s of a similar age, told me that he’d just had a nasty fall in the road and was waiting for an ambulance. 
Some days are so depressing.
