Maundy Thursday

Lots of work today but I spent the afternoon with my mother who’s was visited by friend and former neighbor Jan.
I was there to help with tea and coffee and to keep the conversation going.

After dinner I scratched on on the surfaces of the Matthaus Passion on my piano.
I do not have the intention let alone capability to learn it all, but it’s nice to play some of the welknown melodies of this impressive masterpiece. Especially after listening to a very interesting and very detailed 69 part podcast by Gijs Groenteman (over 13 hours of explanation)

After tomorrow it will probably take a year before I’ll be playing these pieces again.
