28/03/2024_It rained.

Twice a year for probably 25 years Jo and I have had lunch. 

For 16 of those years, we have met at a local vineyard and the weather has always been kind. 
We wander, have lunch, and browse more.
Today the stormy weather reduced it to lunch and then a quick browse of the craft centre.
 
We also reminisced about first meeting in 1968 at primary school.  I left 5 months later and then we ended up at the same grammar school – if that sounds odd, I was a navy brat and went to 7 primary schools from age 5 to 11 so long-term childhood friends are rare and valued.
 
The steak and mushroom pies we had were ok but not worth the price and Jo got her share of craft browsing in.
