The weather was shocking in the night

Breakfast this morning
The tinkers demolished so much food

Left and headed to Lyme Regis
We parked up and made our way down the hill- to discover the fossil walk we were booked on was cancelled due to the weather

But, one of the staff members went over and above to make things ok
She took us to the Lyme Regis museum artefacts office. The children got to handle fossils that were millions and millions of years old and see some of the museums artefacts that aren’t on show

We then headed to the Mary Anning statue and her gravestone
Such a bespoke tour

A slow amble back up the hill and heading home began.
We were going great guns until junction 18 of the M5
Took us two hours to get from 18-16!
Stopped at services for emergency food and drinks - aka kfc and Starbucks
