Glasgow Cathedral
A seven-hour blipmeet today with Gillipaw. She commented on my very first blip (11 February 2010), saying "Welcome to Blip. I love Paris and hope you post some more blips from the city." I have indeed posted many more from Paris, and we have followed each other for over three years since.
Today was our first face-to-face meeting--utterly delightful, and highly informative about the city. We toured the Glasgow School of Art (Charles Rennie Mackintosh's quintessential achievement), lunched at his Willow Tearoom, attended a 4 pm Evensong at the Cathedral, and saw highlights of the city's sprawling Necropolis (aka cemetery--comparable in my experience only to Paris's Pere Lachaise.
This represents the third in a series of cathedral blips on this trip--first came York's Minster, and yesterday Durham.
