Broad Beans

This morning I planted out the broad beans I'd started off inside.  There is a big difference between these and the ones I sowed directly in the ground (those have only just begun pushing through the soil).

It'll be interesting to see if it's worth starting things off indoors or just being patient and waiting for the soil to warm up. I'm half expecting the indoor reared ones to succumb to the lower overnight temperatures. We'll see.
