Does this look like a goldfish to you?

I'm pretty sure it was - and quite a big one at that.  It stayed hiding in the pondweed long enough for me to take this shot and then it disappeared into the depths.  Quite frankly, it's a complete miracle that anything managed to survive the winter in that pond because it didn't have a lot of water in it - and it froze several times.

Nature has a wonderful way of surviving against all the odds ....................
