Up The Road
We had a very good evening out last night at the Lion and Snake, a lovely pub up in the Bailgate.
There was a band on, featuring the vocalist of our former favourites, the now disbanded Mentalmen: Cap'n Rasty and the Skiffle City Rockers. They're a seven-piece, some of whom play a variety of instruments in a folk/skiffle style, as the name suggests. They did some traditional songs as well as covers of modern songs done in their own style which was well received by the diverse, lively crowd. It made for a fun evening.
We took a break from decorating today. I made myself feel a bit sick eating an individual cheesecake in an Easter egg for breakfast and consequently have not done much today. My bad. Good thing we'd already planned to have a break!
There's been plenty of sport on TV to keep us amused. We will finish the decorating tomorrow.
I noticed a lovely early evening sky outside and nipped out to take this to be my Blip!
