Worms!

Heard last night of the death of another old pal - well not someone I knew well, but the husband of a very old friend. She will be grieving sorely.

Another early start - but that's going to be the way of things for the time being, so I should stop mentioning it. Went to the market - sadly no pies, due to the pie-maker getting a proposal of marriage from Norm and hence having an engagement party! Then went up to the allotment. Put out the usual food for the blighters including some mealworms on the elevated tray - but I saw Bob looking around hopefully down at ground level, so I scattered a few down there for him. This is him choosing the worms rather than some spilled seed. Radish seedlings are up, also lettuce. I guess they like all the rain.
