Rough Castle fort

Apparently this is one of the best places to see the route of the Antonine Wall. It lies near Bonnybridge, just to the west of the Falkirk Wheel, where we parked and walked the 1km to Rough Castle fort.

The photo is taken from the rampart looking over the Military road, which ran through the middle of the fort, down through the  ditches and over the bridge of the Rowantree Burn.
