Dog Days

It's Easter Saturday and the sun is finally here. I'm up at the crack of dawn again – I can never bear the thought of wasting a minute when I have a day off. Hot cross buns and coffee for breakfast... we have family visiting for the bank holiday and a trip to Dover Castle was in the offing for later. I also found time to potter about with some photography and make a curry for supper.

In the afternoon, the sun blazed in a convincingly springlike fashion and it actually got quite hot in the garden. The animals lazed about in the heat and I managed to sneak up on Ronan again to get this shot.
