If you go down to the woods today

CenterParcs day #1

A later than intended start as Aaron had a college interview first thing and we still needed to pack the cars, and load the bikes before the 3+ hour drive down to Elveden Forest Center Parcs.

While Louisa and Anne took the youngsters and stopped off at Rugby services for the soft play, Aaron and me drove straight through, got there around 2 o'clock and went straight to the swimming pool for a couple of hours. By the time the others arrived it was time to drive to the lodge to get unpacked and explore the 'garden' and settle in. Then it was back to the pool for some warm outdoor swimming in the dark and a bracing dip (for some of us) in the cold plunge pool.
