Giant Blowball

During a walk in the Kaiserstuhl vineyards my son discovered the biggest blowball we have ever seen. By now I have learned that it is not a mutated dandelion but a plant called Tragopogon pratensis and more commonly known as meadow goat's beard or jack-go-to-bed-at-noon (Wiesen-Bocksbart in German).
