Resurrection
Happy Easter! One week ago, these scilla were buried in nearly 2 feet of snow. Always the first flowers to bloom in the yard, they had just started to show their pretty blue faces when the storm came. Iris and daffodils too were sprouting. Now, here they are again, apparently unfazed by the experience. These snow footprints are where Ethan, who shovels for me, went through to clear the satellite dish. He compacted the snow so when it began to melt his footsteps remained. Ghost steps. Unfortunately, we are not through with winter as another storm is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. I will cover the scilla with baskets to protect them. Sigh...
