Bah humbug family of Easter!

Hayley’s two don’t like Easter eggs, so they get a little money to go and choose a little something of their choice. Jodie’s boys get far too many chocolate eggs (according to her) bought for them so have chosen to go to the newsagents with us to choose some comics/magazines, something they don’t get so are very excited about.

These days so many children have double Grandparents, not from our side! We’re boring! Also, both our girls husbands still have Grandparents, so that adds another layer of chocolates coming their way.

I came from a small immediate family and I always remember as a child hearing from other children how many eggs they got. I felt quite deprived having only one egg from Mum and Dad. Looking back, it never did me any harm, even if at the time it was sad.

So, back to my blip picture. We are going to Jodie’s tomorrow for our meal, and this will be our offering for us all to share. Certainly cheaper and more value than an over packaged egg. Bah Humbug!!
