Solitary Pleasure
A stroll along the start of Chesil Beach from Burton Bradstock and we found this solitary angler setting up his two rods. I used to fish when I was growing up, mostly trolling from boats, but this pastime does not attract me at all.
And there were more dogs than you can shake a stick at on the beach and at the Hive Café, some rather loud and aggressive – vexatious to the spirit, in the words of Desiderata. The crowds of dogs brought this rather worrying article to mind . . .
p.s. I worried about the horizon, but it is level.
