Big Brekkie
Another Veterans Breakfast, The Trevithick Arms in Camborne today, Mrs S and I do like breakfast. I enjoyed the ‘All You Can Eat’ style to the point where I only needed a sandwich in the evening, best £10 (each) for a while. We enjoyed it so much that we were still chatting at 11:45 when we really needed to shop before Mrs S slept pre night shift.
We arrived home and put the shopping away, a coffee before Mrs S headed upstairs and I headed to the rugby club.
So to the afternoon, since ending my playing days I go to matches, be they grassroots, semi pro, the Premiere League or internationals to enjoy the atmosphere, to watch the teams on the field compete as if their lives depend upon it even though there is no real hostility.
If you ‘Google’ rugby one definition is; “the most exciting spectator sport”.
Today might not have been high on the excitement scale but it ticked all the other boxes. I found myself standing with the youngsters, Joshua’s year group and former team mates, great craic, great company. Throughout the match most of us in the ‘Old Farts’ standing area had no idea of the score nor really cared it was just good to see a decent sized crowd enjoying an all too brief period of sunshine.
Sam joined me for a beer before I headed home to walk Paddy.
The evening was spent watching the Red Roses overpower Wales after this mornings breakfast a chicken sandwich was plenty for dinner.
Today’s photo, a good crowd in the rugby club, Sam is in the centre to our left of the guy in the white shirt.
