He is Risen
I got up at 7:00 to make scones for our brunch with my sister, BIL, Jamie and his family. Not having planned enough time, I barely got to 8:30 Mass before it started. The folks who decorate did an amazing job beautifying our Church for this most holy feast day. Renee’s brunch was delicious as usual. It was so nice simply sitting around the table and chatting for a change. Lauren, Billy and our great grands are in Charleston, SC so it was only adults there. We got so carried away enjoying each other’s company that I forgot to take a photo. We went home to spend time with Millie; left home to head to Kristen’s mid-afternoon. As usual, she created a feast with loads of special touches. For dessert, she made a Biscoff Cookie Butter Pie, a recipe that won her first place in a recent pie contest. I understand why. Part of the buffet was cut off of the right side of the photo. We made our mother dinner and dessert plates and will join my sister and BIL at her house soon. Our mother decided she did not want to go out today even though she had several invitations. We saw everyone but Kim and her hubby who are celebrating their anniversary today and chose a quiet dinner at home. Mancil and Brooklyn visited us at Kristen’s. We are so blessed to live near most of our family. It makes holidays even more special. Sending wishes that your day was as grand. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY, SONS OF MEN AND ANGELS SAY. RAISE YOUR JOYS AND TRIUMPHS HIGH; SING, YE HEAVENS AND EARTH REPLY." - Charles Wesley
