Langsett

Easter Saturday, and Tom and Lucy came to stay overnight. Tom arrived by bus and was here for lunch as planned, but Lucy's journey was slightly more problematic, not helped by having to wait in for a plumber, and then difficulties with trains (yup, Bank Holiday work at Huddersfield station meant a rail replacement bus for part of the journey!) Eventually we picked her up in Huddersfield. MrM drove us to have a look at the folly on Castle Hill, before going across to Langsett for a late-afternoon walk  around the reservoir. It's a lovely walk, through the woods and then over the moors. We spotted two deer in the distance, bounding across the heather. Glorious weather, but we just missed the best of the afternoon light.

Not far from Langsett to Fox Valley, where we enjoyed a celebratory evening meal (it was Tom's birthday yesterday) at Zorro Lounge - good food and wine, and something to suit everyone's taste. Home for a film before bed.
