Hong Kong Protest
Today is the 16th anniversary of the Hong Kong handover from Britain back to China. People are demanding democratic reform and protesting against the current leadership. They still can't vote their leader and fear interference from Beijing. Protestors are also rallying against high property prices and income inequality.
'Coincidentally' 1000 of shops offer special discount today and there's a pop concert playing, sponsored by property developers. Trying to distract people from marching?!
Hong Kongers can't be bought, they are protesting despite the discounts, music gigs, heavy rain, thunderstorm and typhoon warning.
