Whitstable seafront
My first visit to the allotment for some time. I planted potatoes and sowed beetroot, parsnips and broadbeans and harvested the last of the leeks. Susan was writing to more people to let them know about her mum.
The no dig beds certainly made it easier to sow stuff as there was no preparation to do. Mind you there were some marestails poking through which had grown through the thick layers of cardboard. I’m hoping we’ll be able to keep on top of it better this year.
Susan suggested a walk at Whitstable this afternoon. We knew it would be busy but we have places to park outside the town. We walk into town and out to Tankerton and back calling in at the Continental Hotel for the obligatory tea and (this time) shared scone.
The guitar and uke came out this evening. Susan still playing as I write. Not seeing or worrying or about Doreen or doing stuff on her behalf is taking some getting used to.
