Easter Monday Glinderin
A beautiful calm and sunny day. Clouded over this evening, and windy too.
Up at 5am, early shift in the airport. Started on the check-in desk, then moved to meeting and boarding flights. A hectic morning, but calmed. Annoyed with myself, first cousin Craig (Dunn from Aberdeen) was passing through with oil and gas flights, he shouted hello, but by the time I registered it, he boarded his Eastern flight. It's been a lot of years since I saw him last, didn't recognise him, defo on the look out next time he's passing through. Popped by Laura's on my way home. A quiet evening at home, walkies with Sammy and then mam and Unst nieces came along. Off to bed early again.
Not only were my nieces down from Unst, Megan came home from Surrey yesterday. Not long after I arrived along Laura's, they piled in the door. A good catchup over a cuppa, and hope to see them all again very soon. After a long dark winter, it takes a while for us Shetlanders to take to the sunshine again, note them all glinderin (peering with the eyes half shut) in the afternoon sunshine. L-R - Megan, mam, Laura, Anna and Lottie. Taken at Laura's, Blett Road, Cunningsburgh.
