Springtime
It may officially be spring but outside it was more like winter. After a bad night I swithered about swimming but I was glad I went, the pool was very quiet. The holiday factor.
I did some bits and pieces this morning and thought about clearing out the garage but it was far too cold. Having a non functioning kitchen radiator doesn't help either. Outside it was raining with a snell wind.
J dropped of Mum's clothes on the way to the Manor to move more furniture and B came to look at my furniture moving plan. I've had 2 more replies to my requests for quotes.
Much fuss today about new legislation. I really can't get my head around it but there was a lot of coverage on MSM. I ventured out to sort the warning light. Turns out it was an airbag one. Also managed to pair the phone. This car has a lot of bells and whistles - at every turn.
Drove to Haddington to see Mum. The hospital front door was lock and half the staff weren't working, public holiday. This meant the assessment that we'd told would be happening today hadn't taken place. So we are still waiting for these dicks to eb in a row. The SCN thought it might be next week before she gets home.
And there is a major problem, the medicinal sherry we persuaded them to prescribe is nearly finished. I ventured to Aldi in the almost sleet to find they had peanut butter cream liqueur, rum, gin, whisky and various other concoctions but no sherry.
There was a lot of lying water on the dual carriageway and the fuel warning light came on well after I left Haddington so to be safe I took a long, slow detour to Musselburgh to get petrol.
Was after 5 when I got home and phoned J with the update. Since then I've eaten and watched the rest of The Tourist. Think I only have Vigil to catch up on now.
The hospital has some lovely murals and decorations. I like the flowering cherry.
