Nureochibazoku

I came across this Japanese word in the last day or two and now don’t remember where. Not in the review of Perfect Days - that word was Komorebi, roughly translated as “sunlight falling through trees”, and describes the photos the main character takes each lunchtime in the park, looking up.

Nureochibazoku, or it might have been just Nureochiba, translates as “wet fallen leaf stuck to the bottom of one’s shoe”.

It describes a person lost in retirement - I’m being careful not to be gender-specific - with no interests, hobbies or friends, who trails after their partner all day.
