Tucklesholme Nature Reserve

This delightful spot is part of the project to develop the Trent Valley.

The relatively new reserve (opened 2019) is near Walton on Trent which has a great pub that my youngest relatives love. I spent a happy, unexpectedly dry hour by the water before meeting up. 

A bright yellow Brimstone butterfly came to check up on me but I was too slow. Merlin heard all sorts, including Willow Warblers and a Woodpecker.

A bonus of gorgeous sunshine.
