SHAKE IT OFF!

It was pretty nice this morning....right now it's snowing again.  BIG flakes, the size of quarters (USD) indicative of lake effect.  The wind is blowing across Lake Michigan from the east and laying some snow on us...girl's softball game at the high school cancelled.  Maybe 6-8 inches (15-20cm) expected by the time it's all over.  Welcome to Spring in Wisconsin.  This Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is taking it all in stride.....nothing he hasn't seen before.  A refreshing shower is just what he needed this morning.

I started the tomato plants yesterday.  I expect to see sprouts in 7-10 days.  Nothing quite like the taste of home grown garden tomatoes. Nothing at all like the tasteless varieties one gets at the supermarket.
