A lovely surprise!

I came home for a short break today and was totally amazed by this amaryllis plant !
I was given it as a Christmas present about 2 weeks before Christmas and my sister expected it would grow quite quickly . It didn't, but I noticed two buds almost ready to flower when we were leaving for Doune, and brought the plant into the kitchen.
It is quite magnificent. It was very cheering.
