Hever Castle and Gardens

We enjoyed touring the castle, taking in the life of the wealthy starting around 1300. Much of the interior of the castle was updated in the 1800s and the gardens expanded in the first half of the 1900s. It’s quite a large site that includes a maze, many garden areas and a temple and lake. The abundance of tulips and hyacinths were impressive.

We had dinner on the way back to town at the Chaser Inn, Shipbourne. Nicely prepared pub standards and friendly environment.
