Trillium.
I came perilous close, there to calling it a Triffid. Did you ever see anything quite so regular/regimented? Three leaves 120˚ apart, topped by three Sepals 120˚ apart, but turned through 60˚, then we meet three petals, again turned 60˚ and 120˚ apart.
