Our small suburb community has more than its share of electric vehicles. There is a practical reason for this. We live on the opposite side of the Fraser River from the city. In order get to the city commuters must go through a tunnel under the river. The tunnel is a major choke point for traffic. Cars with two or more people may use an express lane and get to bypass the congestion to get to the entrance of the tunnel. E-vehicles may use the express lane any time, with no restrictions.
This can save a commuter many several hours of commute time per week.

Many of the E-vehicles are Teslas, of course, but there many others. This is one of the more expensive ones. Its base model is about US$ 75k. The high end, with four motors, is over US$ 90k. It is luxurious but very powerful and can go over ANY terrain with a minimum of 14 1/2 inches. (See extra for side view)

Looks like they plan to tow their mini camper into the wilderness.
