A Ben Day

School hols for two weeks. Paps and Ben had a trip to Lochore for a paddle . I stayed at home and said I’d have the lunch ready for them. I nipped into town on the bus to pick up rolls and bacon and had intended to walk back but I couldn’t be bothered so jumped on the bus and was down and back in an hour.

Got a text to say they were starving so got the food ready. It had turned quite windy in the loch and there was an incident with some little sailing dinghy’s one lad on then refused to go out and his boat was heading to shore then something happened and it hit Ben’s board so Ben was in the loch! The woman in charge of the dingy’s was saying to him hold on to the boat but he wanted out of the water! It all ended fine but thankful for wetsuits! I’d have had a few expletives with the incident ie getting dumped in the water but Ben just accepted it and was fine. He’s done a lot of watersports over the years and knows things happen.

After them with hot drinks and two rolls each we had a quiet afternoon and then a game of Carcassone. This was our lockdown game, we played it every single afternoon like it was part of the routine.

Ben here for tea and then deposited him home.
