Biobank

I spent a few hours here today. It’s a huge study to track people’s health and help towards understanding why certain diseases happen. They save blood, urine, imaging samples etc. it’s all stored anonymously and only looked at if they’re looking for a specific thing. I had an MRI of my heart and abdomen and then of my brain. The brain one was a bit taxing as it was so loud. They don’t give you the results as it’s for research, not a health check. However they do tell you if they see a life threatening issue. I’m currently wearing a small heart monitor for 14 days. It’s waterproof so it can be worn in the shower.  I was really tired when I got home so I’ve not done much this afternoon.
