‘A Welcome Surprise!

Another grey and wet day when I went out for my regular plod around the park this morning - the rain has continued relentlessly all day!

I had the park almost to myself - apart from the weather, many people are on holiday this week, the schools are out, and there were very few dog walkers either!

One bright spot was these two giant tulip buds that had suddenly appeared - magic, mushroom-like - at the top end of the park.

They certainly provided a bit of relief from the overwhelming gloom!
