Surging

Two inches of rain predicted on top of overnight precipitation resulted in soggy ground, standing water and rising lake levels. Where do birds go in the rain? Even the ubiquitous blackbirds were absent.

I headed back to the culvert which was issuing forth a torrent of water. My guesstimate of shutter speed was way off and initial frames were just a blur. I tried composing with some static elements to contrast against the flowing water.

I liked this shot with the frothy bubbles. I got wet and so did my camera. Seems to be okay though.
