Local Village Green Features Mixed Housing Stock

We weren't feeling particularly energetic today so we only headed out for lunch at the Oak On The Green at Bearsted.
We settled on continuing our now favourite form of pub dining - small plates. This time we shared a pork and sage scotch egg with roasted celeriac and thyme purees, a pressed chicken and pancetta terrine with mango chutney, warm chapatti bread and crispy onions and warm sourdough bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was absolutely delicious, great value at a tenner each and the service was lovely as usual.
Despite still inclining towards inertia after our lunch we did make the effort to take a short stroll around the village green to at least make a pretence of 'stretching our legs'. We were glad we did as just as we set off the sun came out and we did feel a step in our Spring as we ambled around the perimeter of the green, which is surrounded by the majority of the village's 59 listed properties - only one of which you can see in my image! :-)
