A list
Whenever I feel overwhelmed or anxious I write a list of something random. It’s my calming and grounding technique. I know it wouldn’t work for everyone but it works very well for me.
I do very random lists. Countries of the world (I can now name almost all of the 195!), US states, books with names in the title, books I own.
Today I started a list of all the books I can remember reading.I stopped here because it was 11pm and I thought I should try and sleep. I think I’ve read well over 750 books in my life. I don’t think I’ve hit the 1000 mark…yet!
