Little Egret...

...hunched up in the rain on the side of the boating lake in Trenance Gardens. Once it has grown a bit more, the Gunnera will provide a good umbrella.

Despite leaving much later than usual and it being a weekday, the drive was quick and trouble-free, with sunshine and showers all the way.  The hedgerow plants have greened up this week in Oxfordshire, and are further on than they are in Cornwall.
