Bittersweet

I've had this chest of drawers for over 30 years (I don't think that it was missing a handle in those days). I can remember buying it from our neighbours. Lovely tongue and groove joints on the drawers. Lovely workmanship all around. But.... it's a huge piece of dark furniture and was taking up a lot of space in my small study. I've managed to empty all the "stuff" out of the drawers and either dispose or donate or "refile". And tomorrow afternoon one of the local charity shops is coming to collect it. I shall be sad to see it go and hope that someone else can revive it and enjoy for more years to come.
