Bee on the Dandelion

We had a lovely day out at Virginia Water today. The weather had looked unsettled but stayed lovely until the evening. 

I took a few shots of the amazing cascades, but was much more at home with the birds and insects (of course). I even got a quite decent shot of a bee-fly and was thrilled to see a pair of yellow wagtails on the cascades. I have never seen them before and I didn't get any great shots of them as they were at quite a distance. But it was still wonderful to see them.

Jak waited patiently whilst we took our pictures but was thrilled when we finally allowed him to dive into the lake and frolic around.
