Foooooood!

Some of the swallows round our house have started to fledge. I adore watching the new wee birds with their yellow beaks and lots of fluff.

This one seemed the first and only one out of the nest. I could hear the others cheeping away in the eaves of the dormer window. It had a few hairy moments as it tried to fly back up to the nest and so plumped for the gutter and fluffed itself up against the rain.

Excuse the quality of the shot - was taken through the window as I didn't want to scare it.

Other news for today.... had a disaster whilst cleaning the shower. Result was a flooded bathroom, water pouring through one of the spotlights in the utility.... all fixed now. Phew!
Was also our school end of year assembly. Always so lovely to celebrate another good year but so so sad to see the P7s leave. School breaks up tomorrow - whoooooop! Summer hols here I come!
