I can’t because she’s sitting on my iPad:)
My friends from Orkney started their long journey home on Wednesday evening, getting the sleeper from London to Inverness. Then quite a few hours on the train to Thurso. And hopefully the ferry across from Scrabster in the evening. They had some flurries of snow early morning near Inverness, but I don’t think it was too much of a problem. They were clearly thinking about being back home, as they messaged me to say it was my turn to choose the Friday film. Which brought my reply above:-)
In other news, joiners have been replacing my Victorian bay windows - which are 132 years old - with new wooden frames that are as similar in design as possible, but with high spec thermal double glazing. It will make my living room so much warmer (and possibly cooler in the summer). I will miss the thin cracked glass with strange little whorls and bubbles in it. My extra is for remembering a funny little oval shape in one of the original panes.
