Buff Orpington

We are staying in the border village of Greenlaw. It's a small place but it was the County Town of Berwickshire in days gone by. We have three houses so one for each family. In the huge garden there are free range chickens including this enormous Buff Orpington. The sheep are in a field across the fast flowing and very full Blackadder Water. 

It rained steadily all last night but the sun is making an appearance now. 

Today is Cameraman's birthday. This is his thrice postponed (covid) big birthday celebration from three years ago. So glad we finally got together to wish him many happy returns. 

We're going to the village pub this evening for an early celebratory meal. Before that we will spend time exploring  local walks and in the spa which comes with the accommodation. A sauna this afternoon sounds good to me.
